ULG-100C(H3): High-precision aspheric grinder

Representing our latest generation of machines required for micro-type precision processing of components and production of optical related equipment, model ULG-100C(H3) is equipped with such features as our special type aerostatic spindles, highly rigid and compactly designed V-V roller guideways, and a 1 nm feedback with optical scales for the reliable precision type machining of components required in the optical industry.

ULG-100C(H3): Structural Features
  • High-precision aerostatic bearing spindles
  • Stabalized precision in a broader high to low speed range
  • Highly rigid V-V roller horizontal guideway
  • Precision built aerostatically preloaded perpendicular V-V guideway
  • Use of a non-circulation type V-V roller bearing with our advanced aerostatic bearing technology
  • 1 nm scale feedback
  • Use of extrememly stable, yet compactly designed optical scales
  • 1 nm resolution
  • Surface roughness can be improved in machining with a single-crystal diamond tool
  • Compactly designed and cost effective
  • Efficient use of a temperature controlled and vibration proof environments
  • Highly rigid single block type cast-iron bed
  • Stabalized high precision assured over the life of the machine

  • EXTENSIVE APPLICATIONS - Diversified machine variations
Both models ULG and ULC can serve a multitude of purposes by using the various attachments such as the tilting head, A-axis, B-axis, and high precision probe for such complex cutting and grinding of small and large diameter lenses and molds, fine grooving of free-form surfaces, diffraction grating, and on- machine measurement and compensation. (ULC refers to the model without the wheel spindle)
