High-Precision Machine Division

A combination of elementary technologies for high-precision machining developed by Toshiba Machine is materialized in the following high-precision machine tools.  Each machine is small-sized, highly rigid, maintenance-free and extremely cost-effective.  They have high reputations for their performance in a variety of advanced technology industries including the optical and data communication industries. They were born from users' requirements.  We will further promote development of high-precision machines and equipment in pursuit of higher accuracy and quality.
High-precision aspheric grinder
(High -precision turning machine)
High-precision optical glass molding press machine High-precision NC vertical machine

model ULG-100C(H3)
Designed for cutting and grinding the spherical surface, aspheric and free curved surface.  A high quality and low cost machine, it can wield its capacity in the fabrication of special optical parts.
  • Non-circulation type V-V roller guideway are used for the X, Y and Z axes.
  • Grinding is possible to the accuracy of form of 0.1 m P-V. and surface roughness of 20 nm Rz.
  • Simultaneous three-axis control is possible, using the diamond wheel.
  • A high-precision aerostatic spindle is used for the work spindle and wheel spindle.

  • model GMP-211
A high-precision optical glass element can be molded accurately without polishing.  This is the high-precision molding press machine that allows mass production and molding.
  • Even large-diameter mold die can be heated uniformly by infrared.
  • Exact press force control through torque feedback system.
  • Exact die positioning.
  • Use of a large-diameter molding die allows molding of diversified optical glass elements.

  • model UVM-350(J)
This machine is designed for high speed and  high-precision machining of precision molding die, optical and electronic parts.
  • A high-precision aerostatic bearing is used for the high-speed spindle.
  • Non-circulation type V-V roller guideway are employed to guide the X and Y axes.
  • Stable high speed and high accuracy machining can be realized by 0.1 m scale feedback control.
  • Very useful for the small-diameter precise drilling by accurate positioning in addtion to small-diameter end milling.
