Moldlyzer is a computer program in the Injectvisor V30 control that continuously samples the hydraulic pressure during injection and compares the actual data to a Model Curve to determine part quality. The Model Curve is set by the operator based on a curve established by an acceptable part. The basic features of the Moldlyzer are:
Injection process is divided into 4 segments: start, middle, pack, and hold. In all zones, the actual pressure is compared with the Model Curve and if it deviates outside the preset tolerance band, the machine signals a defective part. (Each zone has its own tolerance level set by the operator.) At this point, the part can be rejected by the robot or a conveyor.

Graphic display of actual pressure curve is overlaid on the Model Curve. Part quality judgment can be done by one of three methods: Comparison of the area of the actual deviation to the area of the tolerance band Comparison of the profile at multiple points using the upper and lower tolerance levels as a guide Comparison of the profile at one point in the injection process selectable by injection change-over stage plus delay timer Shift from fill to hold can be done by: position (LS4), hydraulic pressure, or by an optional 0-10 volt cavity pressure signal.
Maximum pressure monitor is provided to protect from mold damage in the event of abnormal peak pressure. Peak pressure or maximum deviation is displayed for each zone.
Selection of alarm On or Off is available for each zone.
Mold cavity pressure can be substituted for the machine hydraulic pressure with the cavity pressure input option. This requires the provision of a 0-10 volt DC signal from the transducer to the machine. With this feature, cavity pressure will be graphed instead of the machine hydraulic pressure.
