WARRANTY BEGINS

The warranty period begins on the date of "Start Up" or 60 days from Invoice, whichever occurs first.

BASIC COVERAGE

This warranty covers any repair or replacement of parts which becomes necessary due to a defect in materials and workmanship under normal use except those items listed under "What is not covered."

 

 

Coverage applies as follows to specific components within the New Machine Limited Warranty:

Printed Circuit Boards/Amplifiers/Servo Motors

· Toshiba Machine printed circuit boards, amplifiers and servo motors are warranted for a period of thirty-six (36) months against failure due to defects in material and workmanship.

· The products that fail after the WARRANTY PERIOD can be returned for exchange of up to 50% of current price providing the returned board is repairable.

Screw, Barrel and Non-Return Valve

·  Material processing screw and barrel are warranted for a period of twelve (12) months against defects in material and workmanship, but are specifically not covered for damage resulting from wear, corrosion or cold start-up.

·  The non-return valve is warranted for a period of twelve (12) months against defects in material and workmanship, but not covered for damage resulting from wear, corrosion or cold start-up.

 

Hydraulic Power Unit

·  Optional hydraulic core pull power unit is warranted for a period of twelve (12) months against defects in material and workmanship. Hydraulic filters are not covered.

Heater Bands

·  Material barrel heater bands are warranted for a period of twelve (12) months, but the nozzle band and thermocouple are not warranted.

Parts Shipment

·  Warranted parts are shipped prepaid for "Next Day Delivery," however, delivery time is guaranteed only by the carrier.

Non-Toshiba Manufactured Parts

·  Includes servo motor drive belts, ball screws, air valves, electrical components and mounting pads.

What is not covered by the New Machine Limited Warranty:

Factors Beyond the Manufacturer's Control

·  Repairs and adjustments required as a result of misuse, negligence, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustments or repair, accidents, and use of add-on parts or materials.

· Damage or surface corrosion resulting from acidic atmosphere.

Lack of Maintenance

·  Repairs and adjustments caused by improper maintenance, lack of required maintenance, or the use of fluids specified in the Owner's Manual.

Normal Noise or Deterioration

·  Normal noise, vibration, wear, tear, or deterioration such as discoloration, scratching, or rusting of bare metal.

Wear of Screw, Barrel, and Non-Return Valve

·  Screws, barrels, or non-return valves that have been damaged by glass, mineral or other filters or corrosive materials.

· Screws or non-return valves that have been damaged by rotating the screw with insufficiently melted materials (cold start-up) or with an empty barrel.

Damage by Trucking or Rigging Company

·  Damage by trucking or rigging company during shipping or installation. It is the responsibility of purchaser to inspect the machine on receipt and report any damage to trucking company or rigger. Toshiba Machine is not liable for insurance deductible.

Effective Date : This warranty applies to all machines ordered and supplied in North America from January 1, 2004 and subject to change without notice.

Consequential or incidental

·  Plant down time, lost profits, lawsuits by third parties and other types of consequential or incidental damages are not covered by any warranty.
