Illustrations 1 and 2 show improved stability of melt temperature of the DBG screw in comparison to the full flight screw as measured by extruding material past a nozzle melt thermocouple. The DBG screw provides a uniform melt without inducing shear heat.	The optional SDB screw (Illustration 3) is a high performance screw designed to provide high throughput with uniform melt quality of difficult to melt materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene.
